Position Info:
• Position: Carpenter
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $30.00~$32.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 2123 East 40th avenue, Vancouver, BC V5P1J4
Benefits:
• 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Review and analyze blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools
• Supervise and instruct assistants
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials, including wood, lightweight steel, and other construction materials
• Fit and mount various trim components, such as doors, staircases, molding, and hardware
• May prepare cost estimates for clients
Job requirements:
• Experience: 2~3 years of experience in carpentry are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
