Job Description:
The Window Shade Installer is responsible for measuring, installing, adjusting, and repairing interior window coverings such as blinds, shades, and curtains at residential and commercial sites. The role requires precision, safe use of tools, and professional customer service.
Job Requirements:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Job Duties:
Measure windows and installation areas accurately to ensure proper fit of window shades and blinds
Install interior window coverings including roller shades, zebra blinds, vertical blinds, and related hardware
Mount brackets, tracks, and support systems using hand and power tools
Inspect installation sites to ensure surfaces and structures are suitable for installation
Adjust, test, and fine-tune installed shades to ensure smooth operation and alignment
Repair, replace, or adjust existing window shades and hardware as required
Load, transport, and handle materials and equipment safely
Explain product operation and basic maintenance instructions to customers
Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area after installation
Report installation issues, damaged materials, or site concerns to the supervisor
