Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Compensation: $37.00 - $38.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 - 40 hours/week
Vacant: 1
Benefits: 10 days paid vacation or 4% of salary as vacation renumeration, Extended health benefits after 3 months of employment.
Job Duties
• Operate various types of heavy machinery including wheel loaders, and other equipment to excavate, transport, load, and level earth, rock, gravel, and other materials for construction and related projects.
• Use heavy equipment to clear vegetation and stumps in preparation for logging operations and to construct access roads in forested or mining areas.
• Operate pile-driving equipment to install foundation support for buildings, bridges, and other structures.
• Operate dredging machinery to deepen waterways or reclaim land by moving large volumes of earth materials.
• Use paving and surfacing equipment to apply, spread, and compact materials such as concrete and asphalt during road and highway construction.
• Operate power shovels to excavate rock, ore, and other materials from construction pits, quarries, strip mines, and open-pit mines.
• Utilize heavy machinery to handle cargo by loading, transporting, and unloading materials as needed.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and refueling, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Job Requirements
Experience: On-the-job training and several months of related work experience are usually required.
Education: Completion of high school.
