Job Title: Metal Fabrication Shop Welder
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: $34.65/hour
Job Location: 3212 260 St, Aldergrove, BC V4W 2Z6
Skills and Experience:
• Experience: 1-2 years of welding experience
• Language: Good command of English
• Education: High school diploma (secondary school completion)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
• Select, measure, cut, and join metals to meet precise specifications
• Weld various assemblies, fabricate parts, and maintain equipment using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW techniques
• Choose the right equipment and install torch tips, filler rods, and flux based on metal thickness and size
• Operate flame-cutting, metal-shaping, brazing, and soldering equipment
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet high standards and specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment
• Use hoisting and lifting equipment as needed
• Follow all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards
