Global Precast, established in 1994, is a family owned and operated business that manufactures, supplies and erects precast concrete in various types of construction projects throughout the United States and Canada. Global Precast has been in the business of manufacturing, supplying, and installing precast for approximately 25 years.

At this time, the Company is looking for skilled and qualified Welders who are motivated and want to further their career in the trades.
Candidates must be hard working, possess excellent problem solving skills, safety awareness and safety consciousness , high attention to detail, physical strength and stamina. Applicants must possess the ability and experience in welding, fabricating and assembly of metal components according to specifications. Set up and operation of manual MIG welding machines, punch and drill steel components accurately using appropriate tools and the safe use of grinders and finishing tools to prepare and complete welds.

Responsibilities/Tasks
Interpret welding process specifications
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
Fit and torch-straighten metal
Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
Determine weldability of materials
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding and soldering equipment

Experience and specialization
Type of materials- Steel, iron and heavy metals
Equipment and machinery experience,
Arc welding machine
Gas welding machine
