Job Description for the position of Welder at Millennium Tents & Party Rentals Ltd is as:

• Analyze the blueprints & designs to plan layout and welding procedures to be followed.
• Determine the appropriate use of automatic or semi-automatic welding tools and methods as per the requirement.
• Measure and cut the material with power saws and set it up for welding according to the specifications.
• Weld material using manual welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Efficiently and safely use angle grinders and other tools while welding.
• Repair frames and other material or parts by welding extra pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain; and if required repair the equipment so that it does not compromise safety.
• Follow all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards.

Skills and Experience requirement:

• Completion of Secondary Education is required.
• A relevant technical course or diploma would be in an asset.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to stand, bend or kneel for longer periods and the work is physically demanding.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
