Job Description:
At this time, we are looking for an experienced Welder for a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for an individual with minimum 6 months of experience as welder and knowledgeable of different welding processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Read, interpret and follow blueprints or welding process specifications in doing structural or major repair work
• Align, set in place and weld bases for motors, pumps and other equipment
• Operate cutting, soldering and GMAW (gas metal arc welding) or SAW (submerged arc welding) equipment to attach or detach necessary fragments
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Examine welds to ensure that they meet specifications
• Place, replace and remove metal chips, when necessary, as a part of maintenance process
• Maintain and perform repairs on worn metal parts by welding on extra layers, using proper welding processes
• Test repaired equipment using necessary tools to ensure proper machine functionality
• Clean the work area after the shift and maintain neat working environment
• Comply with health and safety requirements when using and storing any hazardous materials or cutting equipment to avoid any workplace hazards.

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma is required
• Post-secondary education in welding, such as vocational school, training or apprenticeship would be an asset
• At least 6 months of experience as Welder, with good experience performing maintenance work
• Ability to work with various welding processes (MIG, GMAW, SAW)
• Manual dexterity and attention to details
• General knowledge and ability to operate different welding equipment
WORK CONDITIONS
• Permanent, full-time position
• $26.50 per hour
• 30-40 hours of work per week
• Overtime pay ($39.75 per hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week
• Work location: 605 Finch Ave W, Suite 715, Toronto, ON M2R 1P1
