Black Bird Aluminum Ltd is one of the leading companies in the design, manufacturing and installation of aluminum products such as railings, fences, gates, sunrooms and other structures, in Alberta and BC.
We are seeking to hire an experienced Welder to work in Surrey, BC and the surrounding areas.
Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and welding process specifications.
• Manage manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal segments using GTAW, FCAW and SMAW.
• Manage brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines, metal straightening machines, and metal bending machines.
• Monitor the welding process and adjust heat as necessary
• Fix damaged areas of metal structures by welding on extra layers.
• Maintain the welding equipment and machinery
• Perform other related duties as required.
Wages: $ 37.50/hr for 35 hrs/week

Skills requirement:
• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• A combination of a minimum of 3 years of work experience or industry courses in welding is required.
• Fluent in English and highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Good physical ability will be an asset.
• Understanding of safety welding practices and the use of safety equipment.
