We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team at Bull Powertrain in Sudbury. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal components using a range of welding techniques. This role requires strong blueprint reading ability, solid mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets industry standards.
Duties
Perform TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and resistance welding on steel and heavy metal components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to guide work Operate welding equipment and flame-cutting tools safely and effectively Use fabrication equipment such as brakes, shears, and other metal shaping tools Fit, braze, and straighten metal components as required Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on welding equipment Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of welding experience Trade certification or equivalent hands-on experience Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience working with steel, iron, and heavy materials Solid understanding of welding processes and fabrication techniques Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically capable of performing manual work and standing for extended periods Additional Information Full-time, permanent position Day shift schedule On-site work only (no remote option) Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, disability coverage, and pension plan Eligibility
