is in need of WELDERS
NOC Code: 72106
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
This position includes, but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, tank and fitter welding. This position will work with Lead Hands, Charge Hands and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements using SMAW, MCAW, GMAW, FCAW and semi-automatic welding processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
2. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shield metal arc welding (SMAW), and metal core arc welding (MCAW)
3. Operate and maintain flame-cutting and plasma arc cutting equipment
4. Operate metal shaping machines such as brake, shears and hydraulic band saw
5. Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
6. Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
7. Ensure compliance with Industry, Legislative, and corporate Safety policies and procedures
8. Assist in training and directing less trained personnel with work methods, work habits and performance
9. Recommend changes to improve quality and productions costs
10. Perform other related duties as required
Working Hours: 10 hours/day; 40 hours/week; shift will vary between days and nights from Monday to Thursday; 3 days off on Friday to Sunday
Wage/Benefits: $41.52/hour; Extended Medical, Dental and Disability Insurance

Employment Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience is required; Experience in tank fabrication is an asset
• CWB tickets considered an asset
• Safety training an asset but willing to train as required
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a diverse, fast-pace environment
• Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment
