Job Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as Metal inert gas (MIG), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment, and metal shaping machines.
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
Skills Required:
• Ability to Weld
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
• A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working in shop and field is an asset
Experience Required:
• 3 to 5 years of experience.
Education Required:
• Completion of secondary school.
Wage & Hours: $ 32.00/h
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5-7
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 40
• Shift rotation (as applicable): possible work on weekends.
