Salary: $28.80 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.

Other benefits: Optional Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on a cost sharing basis

Vacation: 4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work: 32-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating laser welding and laser cutting equipment.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Adjusting welding parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
• Performing precise welding tasks to join metal parts with high accuracy.
• Inspecting welds for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Preparing metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or cutting.
• Assembling and positioning metal components for welding.
• Conducting routine maintenance on welding equipment.
• Following safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conducting inspections of welds and cuts to ensure they meet required standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.

• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• 7-12 months of relevant experience in welding, particularly with laser cutting and welding technologies.
• Proficiency in operating laser cutting and welding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of different welding techniques and materials.
• Ability to perform precise welding and cutting tasks with high accuracy.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Weight handling of up to 50lbs
