Job Duties:
• The ability to learn how to cut, fit and weld aluminum and steel
• Work independently or in a team environment
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings for welding/assembly, tolerances) and civil drawings
• Operate job-related equipment (cut off saw, ironworker, hydraulic presses, shears, drill presses, torches, oxygen lances, pneumatic/power actuated tools, & plasma cutters)
• Inspect raw materials and finished product to meet specification
• Fit and assemble simple as well as complex assemblies
• Good housekeeping practices at all times, to help maintain safe work areas for yourself and your co-workers
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
Skills Required:
• Experience with Aluminum, MIG, and TIG welding is an asset
• Creative, innovative, and positive approach to working
• Understands the needs of the business and goes beyond the call of duty
• Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
• Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things
• Communicates with co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Confident in problem-solving and providing solutions when issues arise.
• Works with a high standard of integrity.
• Also need someone who can think outside the box and work hard for a family-run business
