Job Description:
Unified Engineering.com Corp. is looking for a full time Welder-Fitter at 171 Niagara St., Hamilton, ON L8L 6A8 Canada. There are 3 positions available.
Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
• Welding training certificate and ability to pass welding tests.
• Experience in manual and semi-automatic welding processes
• Perform manual fit-up operations and welding as required
• Operate various hand tools and machinery used in fabrication
• Ability to perform manual and semi-automatic to company standards
• Ability to operate shop fabricating and welding equipment
• Capable of working on a production team environment with minimum supervision
Hours of work are 40 hours per week (overtime pay after 44 hours/week). Pay is $36/hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed high school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience.
