EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time - Permanent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Welding and fabricating products and components using manual or semi-automatic welding processes such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, Spool Gun, Acetylene Equipment (others less common GTAW, SMAW, CAC-A Arc Gouging).
2. Operate welder, band saw, iron worker, acetylene cutting table, roller, angle grinders and other drill presses, hand drills strong ability to fit up components and check all dimensions accurately.
3. Ability to accurately layout patterns, shapes and critical dimensions.
4. Identify discrepancies, flaws, issues with repair work, design and work with team to correct issues.
5. Read and interpret blueprints, designs and drawings.
6. Fit and weld components with close tolerances and high quality.
7. Operate crane hoist, skid steer and forklift.
8. Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
9. Follow safe work practices and procedures; identify issues and hazards, fill out field hazard assessments.

WORKING HOURS: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; 2 days off on weekends

WAGE/BENEFITS: $36.00/hour / Dental Care, Disability Insurance, Extended Health Care, Life Insurance, On-site Parking, Bonus Pays, 3 days Paid Sick Leave

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Work Experience: Minimum 2 years welding experience is required; at least 2nd year apprentice is required, journeyman ticket is an asset
3. Deep knowledge of welding techniques, wire feed welding.
4. Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
5. Must own basic personal protective equipment (i.e. steel toed boots).
6. Mechanical aptitude
7. Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety
8. Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety rules, blueprints, manuals, and documents referring to metallurgy
9. Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
10. Solid verbal communication skills, positive “can-do” attitude, flexible and adaptive, willing to learn independently and as part of a team, has a customer service perspective.
