“Allingham Machining Inc.” is currently looking for a passionate, self driven “Welder” to join their team.

Status: Regular; Permanent; Full-time (1 Vacancy)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Hours: 30 to 35 hours/Week
Work Setting: Manufacturing company.

Job Duties
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to understand project specifications.
• Monitor the welding process to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment after selecting appropriate equipment and materials based on the requirements of the job.
• Prepare surfaces to be welded by cleaning, grinding, and cutting materials as necessary.
• Inspecting welded joints for defects and performing repairs or adjustments as needed
• Weld components together using various welding processes such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)
• Keep accurate record of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
• Following and enforce the strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in the position or similar position is an asset.

Education:
• Secondary School graduation certificate

Special Skills and Attributes:
• Fast paced environment, handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, sitting, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, Tight Deadlines and overtime is required sometimes.
• Steel-toed safety boots are required.
• Able to handle up to 23kg.
• MIG or TIG welding certificates would be an asset.
• Organized, team player, initiative, values and ethics, effective interpersonal skills, client focus, Flexibility, Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication and fluent in English.
