Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent

AGI ENVIROTANK LTD is a leading manufacturer of steel storage tanks. We are currently seeking Welders with experience in a metal manufacturing shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, manuals, and processes.
2. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shield metal arc welding (SMAW), submerged arc welding (SAW), and Flux-Cored arc welding (FCAW)
3. Operate and maintain flame-cutting and plasma arc cutting equipment
4. Operate metal shaping machines such as brake, shears and hydraulic band saw
5. Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
6. Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
7. Ensure compliance with Industry, Legislative, and corporate Safety policies and procedures
8. Perform other related duties as required

Working Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday to Friday on the day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; Monday to Thursday on the night shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM; Some weekend may be required; 2 to 3 fixed days off per week

Wage/Benefits: $22.00–$29.00/hour depending on experience; Dental, Vision Care, Disability Insurance, Extended Health Care, Life Insurance, RRSP match after 1 year of employment, On-site Parking

Employment Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with SAW, GMAW, and SMAW is required
• FCAW experience is a plus
• CWB certification is a plus
• Experience working in a tank manufacturing shop is an asset
• Ability to read and speak English
• Basic computer skill
• Applicant must be willing to relocate or reliably commute to Biggar, SK
