Warehouse Supervisor Job

Warehouse management (60%)
• Supervise and manage overall sorting operations at the Vancouver warehouse
• Monitor operational efficiency and control sorting-related labor costs
• Provide drivers with clear operational instructions and ongoing support to ensure safe and professional delivery service.
• Manage driver availability and vacation requests to ensure adequate staffing and compliance with labour regulations.
• Coordinate with fleet maintenance teams to ensure all vehicles are safe, and maintained on schedule.
• Assist in setting transportation service rates and monitor revenue performance in alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee and evaluate driver performance to ensure adherence to delivery schedules, safety protocols, and service expectations.
• Monitor compliance with transportation safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Dispatch operations (40%)
• Develop and oversee daily work schedules and delivery routes to ensure alignment with shipment priorities and operational requirements
• Monitor and coordinate communications with clients regarding pickup and delivery arrangements, including handling changes or service issues.
• Supervise coordination with freight terminals and warehouses to maintain an uninterrupted flow of goods throughout the transport process.
• Monitor real-time transportation activities and address any delays, vehicle issues, or operational disruptions.
• Track driver performance such as delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including dispatch logs, shipment documentation, and scheduling data.

Related Work Experience
1-2 years proven experience in warehouse coordination

Formal Education or Equivalent
A college diploma or university degree in business, supply chain administration, warehouse management or related field.

Skills
· Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, drivers, and terminal staff
· Proven ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

· Familiarity with dispatching and route optimization systems
· Deep understanding of transport safety and labour regulations
· Strong risk management awareness with the ability to assess and respond to operational issues proactively
· Proficient in using computer systems and software including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and logistics management platforms (e.g., TMS, WMS}
· Quick decision-making skills under pressure, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations
