Warehouse Manager Job

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the effective and safe operation of the company's warehouse and storage facilities.

Main responsibilities include:

- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the daily operations of the company's warehouse, cold-storage and related facilities.
- Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, order preparation and outbound shipping activities for seafood products and packaging materials.
- Coordinate outbound warehouse and shipping activities with the company's processing, logistics and international sales teams to ensure accurate, timely and efficient product movement.
- Monitor cold-storage conditions, inventory accuracy, product handling and operational procedures to minimize losses and maintain product quality.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of warehouse, refrigeration, storage and material-handling equipment.
- Develop and implement warehouse operating procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, safety inspections and operational controls.
- Plan staff schedules, assign duties, supervise warehouse and processing employees and provide training and performance feedback.
- Prepare and monitor warehouse and facility operating budgets, equipment requirements and maintenance expenditures.
- Monitor warehouse performance indicators, including inventory accuracy, product loss, shipping efficiency, equipment performance and workplace safety, and prepare reports for management.
- Identify operational issues and implement improvements to warehouse capacity, workflow, safety, equipment utilization and overall facility efficiency.

- College diploma or university degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, facility operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience;
- Several years of experience in warehouse, facility, logistics, or related operations;
- Previous supervisory or management experience in warehouse or facility operations;
- Experience with inventory control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operating procedures;
- Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- Experience in seafood, food processing, refrigerated warehousing, or cold-chain operations is an asset.
