WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
Receiving and storing: Unpacking and organizing incoming shipments, checking for quality and quantity, and storing items in the correct location.
Picking and packing: Picking and packing orders correctly, and labeling outgoing parcels.
Loading and unloading: Loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles.
Inventory: Maintaining inventory control records, assisting with inventory counts, and entering data into inventory and logistics software.
Shipping: Preparing orders for shipment, setting priorities and dates for outgoing deliveries, and tracking shipment arrival and departure times.
Warehouse workers also need to be physically fit, have organizational skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Driving: Picking up and delivering inventory.
This position offers room for advancement.
