Platform Architect Resume

Candidate Pitch:

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for designing and architecting software. Compile engineering design documents for new features to be added to the JourneyApps Platform, which include high-level system diagrams and descriptions of engineering considerations. Perform software development and write software source code. Perform software development on various components of the JourneyApps Platform relating to complex and advanced features/capabilities. Fix software bugs and perform maintenance on the JourneyApps Platform. Work closely with the Customer Success team to identify and prioritize maintenance updates and bug fixes to the platform required to resolve issues reported by customers. Attend project management meetings, as well as meetings with senior Platform engineers and the Chief Technology Officer, where the short-term and long-term plans for engineering projects are discussed. Participate in product strategy and roadmap discussions. Participate in the company’s product roadmap planning process and provide input to the Chief Product Officer on technical feasibility of proposed features considered for the roadmap. Research and prototype new technologies and tooling, as well as provide technical support for advanced platform issues. Duties also involve leading a team of software/platform engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance, and training on new platform features/capabilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires seven (7) years of software development or related software architecture experience. Experience must include three (3) years of experience in leading architectural design for software products. *Specific skills: Also requires experience in the following: 1) Experience with architecting and building developer tools such as IDEs and visual software development environments; 2) Experience with technology frameworks including Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AngularJS and WebPack; 3) Experience with infrastructure technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform; 4) Experience with event streaming using Kafka; 5) Experience with database technologies including MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, and Elasticsearch; 6) Experience in database replication, operations logs, and caching; and 7) Experience working with distributed data sets, isolation of data, and isolation of concerns *Any level of experience in the specific skills is acceptable. The salary range for this position is $139,984 - $145,000 per year.
