Video Systems Administrator Job

VIDEO SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR sought by Pariah, LLC in Los Angeles, CA.

Manage servers (e.g., render nodes, storage servers) and workstations and manage and support apps (e.g., Autodesk Flame, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Redshift, Deadline). Automate pipelines by leveraging technologies to streamline asset management, rendering, and compositing processes for high-volume projects. Design and maintain high-speed, low-latency networks and troubleshooting issues affecting file transfers or remote work. Coordinate complex media format conversions across diverse platforms and formats. Configure audio interfaces and video routing systems critical for maintaining high-quality output in fast-paced production environments. Deploy and maintain high-speed storage protocols including Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB, ensuring robust data handling and transfers across complex media projects. Configure systems to create precise and efficient workflows utilizing advanced tools like Calman, DavinciResolve, Ansible, and Python scripting. Develop custom Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and processes to increase productivity across editing. Supervise lower-level subordinates consisting of outside technology support vendors and IT support staff.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in video systems engineering or related IT experience in systems administration, database administration, or software engineering including experience in file-based workflows. * Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1. Color calibration with Calman and LUT development with Davinci Resolve 2. Python scripting and ansible programming 3. Operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Rocky Linux 4.Postproduction workflows, VFXpipelines, VM and Remote access solutions 5. High-speed storage protocols including Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB 6. Signal flow, audio interfaces, and video routing systems 7. Renderfarm management tools including Deadline *Any level of experience or knowledge in the specific skills is acceptable.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year.
