Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce high-quality video content for digital platforms, marketing campaigns, social media, advertisements, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling raw footage, editing videos, adding visual effects and audio enhancements, and delivering engaging final content that aligns with brand standards and project objectives. This role requires strong storytelling abilities, technical editing skills, and a passion for visual media.
Duties
• Edit raw video footage into polished and engaging content for various platforms including social media, websites, advertisements, and presentations.
• Trim footage, add transitions, sound effects, music, graphics, subtitles, and visual effects as needed.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative, and production teams to understand project goals and content requirements.
• Ensure all video content aligns with brand identity, messaging, and quality standards.
• Manage multiple editing projects while meeting deadlines and production schedules.
• Organize and maintain video files, footage libraries and project assets.
• Review and revise edits based on feedback from clients or internal teams.
• Optimize video formats and resolutions for different platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and websites.
• Stay updated on video editing trends, techniques and emerging technologies.
• Assist with basic filming, lighting, or audio recording when required
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Graphic Design, English or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools
Preferred Skills
• Experience assisting with educational and recreational activities.
• Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Basic graphic design and animation skills.
• Knowledge of camera equipment and video production processes.
