The Vice President that we are looking for will play a pivotal role in the strategic and leadership direction of our institution. This senior management position involves overseeing academic programs, faculty development, and ensuring the overall quality and effectiveness of the institution’s academic offerings.
Job Duties:
Academic Leadership and Strategic Planning:
1.Contribute to the development and execution of the institution's strategic plan, particularly as it relates to academic affairs. Provide input on long-term goals, ensuring academic initiatives align with our vision.
2.Collaborate with department heads, executive leaders, and relevant stakeholders in developing policies and procedures that fit the institution’s objectives and mission.
Curriculum Development and Assessment:
1.Oversee the development and enhancement of academic curricula, ensuring they are relevant, up-to-date, and meeting industry standards.
2.Implement and monitor assessment processes to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
Personnel Recruitment and Development:
1.Identify the need for new departments or restructuring existing ones. Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to identify gaps in existing departments or areas that require additional focus and resources.
2.Involve in the recruitment process for senior staff positions associated with new or existing departments. Collaborate with human resources to create job descriptions, conduct searches, and evaluate candidates.
3.Evaluate the effectiveness of department structure and associated management positions over time. Solicit feedback from stakeholders and make adjustments to enhance performance and efficiency.
Resource Allocation and Management:
1.Assess the scale, scope, and duration of each strategic initiative. Prioritize initiatives based on their strategic importance and urgency.
2.Identify and allocate physical and human resources. Communicate resource allocations and expectations clearly to relevant departments, teams, and individuals.
3.Implement reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes associated with resource allocation. Hold responsible individuals or teams accountable for the effective use of resources.
Budget Oversight:
1.Collaborate with the finance department to develop a budget that outlines the financial resources needed for each policy or program. Ensure that budgetary allocations are realistic, transparent, and linked to organizational priorities.
2.Assist in implementing robust financial reporting systems to provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders, including the board, senior leadership, and relevant decision makers.
Accreditation and Compliance:
1.Manage accreditation processes, ensuring the institution meets or exceeds accreditation standards.
2.Stay informed about relevant educational policies and regulations, ensuring compliance at all levels.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
1.Represent the institution at academic conferences, events, and in interactions with external partners.
2.Build positive relationships with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, parents, alumni, and community members.
3.Develop and enforce contract management procedures to ensure transparency, competitive pricing, and adherence to institutional policies.

1.At least a college diploma in Education, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related work experience is required.
2.3+ years of professional experience in a middle-level management role or higher is required.
3.Impeccable judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
4.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement innovative academic programs.
5.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic programs.
6.Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating skills.
