Position Overview
The Vice President, Operations is responsible for leading and directing the company's nationwide logistics operations strategy and execution. This executive role oversees all operational functions including station operations, transportation, network planning, operational performance, and service delivery.
The VP, Operations will play a pivotal leadership role in driving business growth, network expansion, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute company-wide operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Establish long-term operational plans to support business growth and network expansion.
• Participate in executive leadership decision-making and organizational planning.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior operational leaders across all functions.
• Assist in evaluate middle managers, directors, and other executive staff across operational functions
• Direct and oversee nationwide logistics and last-mile delivery operations through Director-level leaders in Operational Performance and Network Planning.
• Monitor service levels, operational productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all regions and business units.
• Ensure operational targets are achieved and escalate risks or performance gaps as needed.
• Lead operational planning for new market expansion and network development.
• Review and approve major operational initiatives, facility investments, and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate growth opportunities and support strategic business development initiatives.
• Oversee the development of operational budgets and contribute to company-wide P&L management.
• Monitor operating expenses, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency metrics across all operational units.
• Drive cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives in partnership with Finance and executive leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior management teams across Operations, Network Planning, and Operational Performance.
• Establish performance expectations, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and operational standards.
• Oversee enterprise risk management and business continuity planning.
• Maintain operational governance frameworks and organizational controls.
• Represent the company, or delegate representatives, in negotiations, industry forums, government engagements, and other official functions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external partners including carriers, technology vendors, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.

Qualifications
• A university degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Law, or a related field; an MBA, EMBA, or equivalent advanced business degree is considered a strong asset.
• At least 5 years in a general manager, VP, or equivalent executive leadership role and 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics operations, express delivery, or supply chain management, including several years in middle management roles in transportation or logistics and
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-region logistics or last-mile delivery operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L accountability, large operational budgets, and organization-wide cost efficiency initiatives.
• Strong executive leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and align senior management teams across multiple functions.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen; comfortable using data analytics tools and BI platforms to support executive decision-making.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in senior executive roles (VP, SVP, or General Manager) at major express delivery, parcel logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment companies.
• Experience overseeing both operational and commercial functions within a logistics organization.
