Over Time Wage Rate: $54.98/hr

Terms of Employment: Full-Time Permanent position
Education & Requirements:
- Completion of 2-3 years college program in animal health/veterinary technology is
required;
And
- Registration with ‘Provincial animal health technologists' or veterinary technicians'
associations are Assets.
- Related work experience is an asset
Languages: English
Job Duties:
• Perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis of animal health problems
• Able to provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
• Assist veterinarian with animals before, during and following surgery by preparing surgical equipment, administering and by cleaning up after surgery
• Educate and advise clients on animal health care including nutrition and home care
• Produce radiographs and collect samples as required.
• Prepare medications and vaccines under direction of a veterinarian
• Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
• Provide bandage care and may require hoof trimming for animals.
