Workplace information: On site
Salary: $35.00 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per Week
Terms of employment Permanent employment:Full time

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in Veterinary technology
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Veterinary clinic
Tasks:
.Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
.Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
.Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
.Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
.Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
.Counsel clients on animal health care
.Conduct and assist in laboratory research
.May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties
.Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
.Provide wound and bandage care
