Duties
Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, including animal restraint and handling.
Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses.
Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
Handle animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, pet care, and managing kennel environments to keep animals comfortable and healthy.
Support veterinary critical care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing animal catheterization when necessary.
Provide detailed explanations of veterinary terminology and animal physiology to pet owners to enhance understanding and compliance.
Manage client communications efficiently by scheduling appointments, processing payments, and providing pet care advice with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Requirements
Previous veterinary technician or CSR experience of 3+ yrs and animal handling skills are preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and animal physiology is required to support medical procedures effectively.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, aseptic techniques, and veterinary critical care enhances your ability to contribute immediately.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex veterinary concepts clearly to clients.
Ability to perform animal restraint safely while demonstrating compassion and patience during stressful situations.
