Job Description:
Toronto Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre is looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Rehabilitation Practitioner (NOC 32104)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-35 hours per week, $37.00/hour, with benefits.
Toronto Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre is a specialized rehabilitation and sports medicine facility dedicated to improving quality of life, mobility, and long-term wellness for companion animals. Our collaborative team focuses on evidence-based rehabilitation, client education, and individualized patient care in a supportive and positive environment. Job Description:
• Perform comprehensive rehabilitation assessments for canine and feline patients
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans under the direction of the supervising rehabilitation veterinarian where applicable
• Administer therapeutic modalities including:
o Therapeutic exercise
o Manual therapy
o Shockwave
o Therapeutic laser
o Electrical stimulation
o Hydrotherapy/land-based treadmill therapy
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Educate clients on home exercise programs, recovery expectations, and injury prevention strategies
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes
• Support a positive, compassionate, and team-oriented clinic environment
• Maintain high standards of patient handling, safety, and cleanliness.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of a two- or three-year animal health/veterinary technology college program
o Degree in veterinary rehabilitation, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, or a related rehabilitation field is an asset
o Formal training or certification in canine rehabilitation (CCRP, CCRT, CCRA) or an equivalent program
• Prior experience in a veterinary or animal rehabilitation setting is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments with care and confidence.
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and basic office tools.
• Commitment to ongoing learning in veterinary rehabilitation and client care.
• Language in the workplace is English.
