Vet Tech/Vet Assitant Job

Assisting doctors with appointments, dentals, surgeries, in house lab work,etc. Driving to appointments in the field. General cleaning and up keep of vet trucks and hospital. Stall cleaning & equipment maintance. Occasionally more rigorous physical activities such as trotting horses in hand, lifting heavy equipment and restraining untrained foals, large goats and sheep. Includes a rotating "on call" schedule for weeknights and weekends.

Comptetent horse handling skills are a must. Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required. Ability to complete the physical requirements for the job. Must be 21 or older to apply (for insurance reasons)

Small Equine practice in Northeastern California. We provide in hospital and mobile services to our clients. We have 4 veterinarians on staff, we primarily treat horses but also do some cattle and small ruminant medicine as well.
