Welder

Venetian Iron Design Inc. is currently seeking experienced Welders to join our team. We specialize in custom metal fabrication and are looking for skilled and reliable individuals with experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and iron.

Full-time: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $37.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Early morning, evening, flexible hours, morning, day, and weekend shifts may be required.

Job Responsibilities
Interpret welding process specifications.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- Examine welds and ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- Perform custom metal fabrication work.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe and organized work area.

Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with:
- Aluminum alloys
- Stainless steel
- Steel, iron, and heavy metals
- Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
- Experience in custom fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to work accurately and safely with welding and metal fabrication equipment.
- Own transportation is required.
- Steel-toed safety boots are required.
