Vending Scout – Part-Time / On-Call – Local Business Visits
We are looking for a reliable, outgoing Vending Scout to help us identify and connect with local businesses that could benefit from modern vending and unattended retail.
This is a flexible, part-time field role for someone comfortable walking into local businesses, speaking with staff and managers, and helping start conversations about bringing convenient snacks, drinks, meals, and essentials to their workplace.
What You'll Do
• Visit pre-identified businesses and potential vending locations in an agreed local territory
• Introduce Pocketpantry and briefly explain our vending service
• Identify and connect with managers or other decision-makers
• Gauge interest and arrange a site check or follow-up when appropriate
• Record each visit, contact information, feedback, and next steps using our system
• Represent Pocketpantry professionally and respectfully at each location
Schedule
This is an on-call, part-time opportunity, typically around 5–10 hours per week.
Most visits take place Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You will work within an agreed local travel area.
Pay and travel arrangements will be discussed and confirmed before accepting the role.
Who We're Looking For
You DON'T need to be an experienced salesperson. We're looking for someone who is:
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable approaching new people
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Organized enough to document visits and follow up on assigned locations
• Professional when interacting with business owners, managers, and employees
• Able to travel locally between assigned businesses
Experience in sales, customer service, canvassing, fundraising, volunteering, hospitality, promotions, or community outreach is helpful but NOT required.
