Venafi Engineer Job

Client is seeking an experienced Venafi Engineer to support enterprise PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and machine identity security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Venafi platforms, enterprise certificate management, automation, and Windows/Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise certificate lifecycle management solutions using Venafi TPP / Venafi as a Service.
• Manage machine identity security policies, certificates, keys, and infrastructure integrations.
• Handle certificate requests, renewals, deployments, and lifecycle management.
• Automate certificate management workflows using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with Windows, Linux, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Work with Certificate Authority providers to support enterprise PKI operations.
• Troubleshoot certificate, TLS/SSL, and machine identity-related issues across enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in PKI, Certificate Management, or Machine Identity Management.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Venafi TPP and/or Venafi as a Service.
• Strong knowledge of PKI, TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, CSR, key management, and cryptographic standards.
• Experience with CA providers such as Microsoft CA, DigiCert, Entrust, or similar.
• Strong scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, and REST APIs.
• Experience administering both Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

2. Purpose of the Requirement
The purpose of this requirement is to identify a senior Venafi/PKI engineer who can take ownership of enterprise certificate lifecycle and machine identity management.
The ideal candidate should be more than a general PKI administrator—they should have strong hands-on Venafi experience, understand enterprise PKI architecture, and be capable of automating certificate management across Windows and Linux environments using scripting and APIs.
