Role Summary: The Vemag Senior Field Service Technician is a full-time position responsible for all aspects of installation, routine repair, emergency service, new product support, maintenance, and customer training of Vemag Equipment. The role supports the Field Service Technician Team and acts as liaison between field technicians, service support leaders and suppliers.

Duties:
• Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and demonstrates Vemag products and equipment
• Inspect and test Vemag products/equipment, components and assemblies using electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment
• Train customer employees in proper set-up and operation of Vemag equipment
• Adjust, align, replace or repair Vemag products and equipment, assemblies and components following equipment manuals and schematics, and using soldering tools and other hand and power tools
• Identify, analyze, locate, diagnose, repair Vemag components and equipment faults, orders and replace parts as needed
• Strive to ensure that the Customer experience will match the Reiser Vision and Mission Statement of superior service performance and quality
• Ensure the knowledge and familiarity with our customers’ concepts, practices and procedures are followed
• Communicate regularly with service support leads, customers, sales, technicians, engineering and shop
• Maintain familiarity with standard concepts, practices across the spectrum of the line of equipment Reiser sells with strength in one of the two areas (processing/packaging)
• Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
• Assist in the coaching and training field service technicians with Vemag products and equipment
• Act as a mentor, responsible for supporting and communicating daily with assigned technicians, communicating daily with both the Service Support Leadership
• Communicate monthly with Vemag, sharing experiences and issues faced in the field, visit that supplier once per year to re-certify and transfer knowledge in both directions
• Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Retain sufficient product knowledge to ensure work is competently performed
• Active knowledge of proper tool selection and troubleshooting techniques necessary for installations, repairs and maintenance of Vemag equipment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines established by both Reiser and the customer

Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required
• 2+ years of experience repairing Vemag machinery in the food processing industry
• Previous plant electrical and mechanical experience
• Previous experience and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and motor control circuitry required
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) with Ladder Logic knowledge
• Must be able to read and understand Vemag wiring diagrams
• Acquainted with the various Vemag equipment models and their general performance characteristics
• Familiar in Vemag double-screw theory and applications
• Possesses a knowledge of the mechanical process of Vemag high-speed linking and stuffing equipment
• Active knowledge of proper tool selection and troubleshooting techniques necessary for installations, repairs and maintenance of Vemag Machinery
• Comprehensive understanding of standard Vemag controls logic
• Knowledge of Vemag HMI software and updates
• Proficient with VNC and LPG Tool PC software
• Experience generating programs and recipes on Vemag equipment for all different models and applications
• Customer relations management skills required
• Ability to read, write and understand English required; French or Spanish is a plus
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable automobile
