Job Description:
KPB Gills Four Seasons Nursery Ltd is looking for full-time and permanent 25 Vegetable Packer at 1831 Peardonville Road, Abbotsford, BC, V4X 2M3. (Even though this is a full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is $28.85 /hr and 35 to 40 hours/week.
Job Description:
•Pack vegetables according to instructions and quality standards, ensuring they are neatly and securely placed in designated containers to minimize breakage and spoilage.
•Carefully examine vegetable stacks to determine the freshness.
•Look for visual cues such as color, firmness, and signs of decay or damage.
•Remove any vegetables that appear spoiled or damaged from the packing line.
•Stack peppers and other vegetables in an orderly manner, taking care to avoid breakage or harm.
•Pack containers securely, ensuring that the risk of damage is minimized during transportation.
•Assist in the loading and unloading of containers onto delivery trucks.
•Identify and remove any defective or substandard peppers and other vegetables from the packing line.
•Sanitizing racks and trays.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Clean the packing area regularly, dispose of waste materials properly, and report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
•Assist with maintenance of greenhouse maintenance, equipment and tools. Assist in writing daily progress reports of inventory.

No degree, certificate or diploma is required. Previous experience is an asset.
