Xbase Farm Partnership is a greenhouse and field farm located in Richmond, BC, specializing in growing Asian vegetables such as gailan (Chinese broccoli), green beans, cucumbers, melons, pumpkins, corn, and pea tips. The farm operates year-round and supplies fresh produce to local markets.
We are currently looking for Vegetable Farm Workers / Field Vegetable and Crop Labourers (NOC 85101). The person assists in planting, cultivating, maintaining, harvesting, and packing crops to support daily farm operations.
Job Description
• Prepare and irrigate soil
• Plant, fertilize, thin, and harvest crops
• Hand harvest Asian vegetables, green beans, cucumbers, melons, pumpkins, corn, and pea tips
• Pick row and orchard crops
• Sort, weigh, and pack fruits and vegetables at the farm
• Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce
• Clean racks, trays, harvest bins, and work areas
• Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools
• Water and tend crops and monitor plant health
• Examine produce for quality and prepare for market
• Follow farm safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
• Experience is an asset but not required
• Willingness to perform physically demanding farm work
• Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• No formal education required
Position Available: Vegetable Farm Worker / Field Vegetable and Crop Labourer (NOC 85101)
Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent
Working Time: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (with one-hour unpaid break) Monday to Friday
Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Salary: $17.85 per hour
