Two (2) Buyers - Wines and Spirits needed in Vaughan, ON Job

Vitalita Wines & Spirits is looking for Two (2) Buyers - Wines and Spirits to perform duties including the following:

• Purchase wines and spirits from Italy for resale by retail or wholesale
• Review requirements of the company and the client/s and determine quantity and type of wines and spirits to purchase
• Study market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials and visit trade shows, showrooms, vineyards and product events
• Select the wines and spirits that best fit the company and client/s
• Interview suppliers and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements
• Oversee and maintain adequate stock levels
• Establish and maintain contact with suppliers
• Recommend wines; Host Sampling; Perform sensory evaluation of wines

Terms of Employment:
• Salary: $46.15 per hour ($96,000 per year)
• Permanent, Full Time / 40 Hours per week
• Start Date: Immediately
• Benefits: Group Insurance

Skills Requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Secondary education or equivalent experience; A university degree or college diploma in business, marketing or a related program is an asset
• Experience: Minimum experience of 3 years in wine selection; service as sommelier preferred; Previous work experience in retail or wholesale establishments an asset; WSET Certificate (Level 2 or higher) or equivalent an asset.
