Permanent Position: Truck Mechanic (NOC 72410)

Work Location: Various Work Locations as per company work
Wage rate: $35 per hour (35-40 hours per week)
Education: High School Required
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Language: English.
Job Duties:
• Adjust, repair or replace and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems
• Service, diagnose, repair, maintain, clean, equipment pre and post trip
• Test and adjust repaired system to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Diagnose fault or malfunctions and confirm finding with supervisor or management to determine whether to repair or replace unit
• Preventive maintenance on commercial trailer, use various hand tools and machinery to repair problem trailer, welding on trailer
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other workers
Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs).
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, refugees, youth, new immigrants.
