Job Duties:
• Timely inspect trucks parts like engine, transmissions, oil etc. to check for any fault or wear-tear.
• Repair or change any faulting part of the truck and trailers
• Obtain basic knowledge about the engine, transmission etc. of newly acquired trucks to make yourself aware about new machine.
• Repair and change structural, brake and electrical systems part of the trucks.
• Able to determine and locate fault in the trucks using traditional method like by any unusual sound in the vehicle.
• Able to use both manual and electrical power tools to repair and replace parts of trucks.
• Able to do the servicing of each vehicle by changing engine oil, replacing oil and air filters, exhaustively cleaning mechanical parts of vehicle, properly greasing parts of vehicles like doors, bearings, rubbers etc.
• Maintain record of each vehicle service time, date, the problem reported by driver, the action taken, date for next service etc.
