Requirements
• Completion of secondary school
• 2 years of experience in mechanics is required
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Should be mechanically inclined and have good manual dexterity
Responsibilities
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck such as brakes, frame, cab, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, electrical and electronic systems etc. using hand tools and other automotive repair equipment.
• Test automotive systems and components and road test motor vehicles
• Inspect motor in operation and test automotive systems and components using testing devices
• Review work orders and discuss work with the manager/supervisor
• Check and adjust repaired system as per the performance specification of the manufacturer
• Perform scheduled maintenance services like lubrication, oil change, and tune-ups
• Provide information to customers regarding service performed, vehicle condition and upcoming repair requirement
