Job Description
. Diagnose, adjust, repair, and replace components of commercial transport truck systems, including the chassis, frame, cab, body, engine, drivetrain, air brake systems, steering mechanisms, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
. Inspect, service, and repair truck-trailer systems by maintaining structural components, braking systems, and electrical wiring to ensure safe and efficient operation.
. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and fluid inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
. Inspect vehicles for safety, emissions, and regulatory compliance and complete required inspection reports and service records.
. Communicate with the supervisor to explain mechanical issues, required repairs, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following workplace safety procedures and using tools and equipment properly.
