Position:? Truck Drivers Supervisor
Duration/Type: Full Time
Location: 71 Sundridge Street, Brampton, ON, L7A 1J7
Salary: $60,000 per annum– to be paid on weekly basis. The gross salary paid will be subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 30 Hours a week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
Drivers Management
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of truck drivers and vehicle movements.
Develop and implement work schedules and procedures, ensuring coordination with drivers, billing, and dispatch departments.
Participate in the recruitment of new drivers and make recommendations regarding promotions, wage adjustments, and performance recognition.
Provide training to newly hired drivers on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies.
Assign drivers and trucks, oversee pickup and delivery operations, and ensure adherence to appointment schedules.
Compliance Management
Manage the handling of all administrative paperwork including bill of ladings, invoices, and insurance papers
Ensure that Logbooks, safety certificates and permits, Insurance and other documents are current at all times
Ensuring the compliance of all drug and alcohol testing programs and with all aspects of local, state and federal regulations.
Prepare and submit progress and other reports
Actively resolve any job-related issues as they arise
Conduct & supervise 17-point truck & trailer inspection process
Arrange for maintenance in case of truck breakdown

Employment Requirements
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of prior work experience in the transportation industry is required, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to comprehend and follow detailed written or verbal instructions using sound judgment and practical reasoning.
