Job duties and Responsibilities: -
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck drivers and other transportation workers.
• Schedule and assign routes to drivers and ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods.
• Monitor driver performance, compliance with safety regulations, and company policies.
• Ensure drivers follow transportation laws, hours-of-service regulations, and safety standards.
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and service quality.
• Train new drivers on company procedures, safety practices, and equipment use.
• Maintain records such as driver logs, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and management to coordinate transportation operations.
• Inspect vehicles and ensure maintenance issues are reported and addressed promptly.
• Prepare reports on transportation activities and recommend improvements to management.
