JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Education: No Education
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of related experience required
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws Inspect their trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of their activities.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
• Drive long distances.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
