Truck Driver Job

A&M Orchards Ltd. Located in Keremeos, BC is looking to hire a full time and permanent Truck Driver with a valid driver license.

The person does require Secondary (High) school education and 1 to less than 2 years of experience, and English is an asset.

The person must be able to perform some duties as part of work and that includes:

Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Pay and receive payments for goods
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Transport and handle dangerous goods
We pay a competitive wage of $32.00 – $38.00 hourly/ 40 hours per week.
