Job Description:
Professionalism in customer service
Transport and handle dangerous goods in a truck tractor with a tanked trailer
Load and unload goods
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Education: Completion of secondary education is required.
Experience: At least 7 months of experience is required. Be eligible to obtain a class 1 MELT license.
Documentation knowledge:
Accident or incident reports, Bill of landing, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Large workload, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Sitting
Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral and written communication, Flexibility, Judgment, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Hardworking, Patience

Important Information: Work is Monday through Saturday, shifts scheduled between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Overtime and work on holidays will be required depending on the business needs.
