Truck Driver (Container work, Reefer and dry van )
1-Willing to move different types and sizes of containers.
2-Conduct hand bombing (manual loading/unloading) of goods when required, including lifting and moving heavy items.
3-knowledge with port/container work (CP/CN rail, ports).
4-Handle container chassis and coupling/uncoupling safely.
5-plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
6-Mountain driving expertise.
7-Professionalism in customer service.
8-Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
9-Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
10-load and unload goods.
11-obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
12-Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
13-Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
14-perform brake adjustments.
15-Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
16-Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
17-Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
18- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
