Job Description:
Operate straight trucks or articulated trucks to transport construction and electrical materials to local job sites
Drive light-duty and specialized trucks as required for daily project needs
Load, secure, and unload materials safely at construction sites and company yards
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Monitor vehicle condition (tires, brakes, lights, fluids) and report any issues promptly
Carry out basic preventive maintenance and keep truck clean and in good working condition
Record deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and hours of service accurately
Follow assigned local routes and delivery schedules within city limits or nearby areas
Communicate with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery updates and instructions
Ensure safe driving practices and compliance with all traffic and workplace safety regulations
Languages: English
Credentials & Licences: Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
