Job Duties:
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Install electrical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems on new and used trailers.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake, and electrical systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and truck-trailer systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine, and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or schematics.
• Troubleshooting.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
• Light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Demonstrate commitment to the continued improvement of Health, Safety and Environment.
Skills Required:
• Positive work ethic, ability to lift heavy parts, time management.
• Organized, reliable, hardworking, team player.
• Must be able to obtain Trade Certification.
Experience Required:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working on trucks and trailers, operating hand and air tools.
Education Required:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Wage & Hours: $ 34.07 / h
• Number of hours per day: 8-9
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 44
• Overtime starts after how many hours: after 44 hours per week
• Shift rotation: N/A
