Trees Cheesecake + Organic Coffee – Strathcona is seeking a F/T Café Manager. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Café Manager
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50-$40.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 970 George St, Vancouver, BC V6A 4K5

Job Duties:
• Set budget for ingredients, coffee, and supplies, and price menu items to protect profit margins
• Interview and hire baristas, counter staff, kitchen workers, and shift supervisors
• Review prices and delivery terms with regular suppliers and renew agreements when needed
• Set weekly staff schedules and review daily operations with shift supervisors
• Guide staff during shifts and give feedback on their work
• Teach new hires cafe procedures and service standards
• Count stock regularly and reorder ingredients and cleaning supplies before they run low
• Uphold food safety and sanitation rules and keep required records
• Respond to customer complaints and resolve service issues
• Promote the cafe through seasonal offers and social media

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in food preparation or service, including supervisory experience, is required
